There is only so much a single person can do, and only so much a person should be expected to do. Both of these are not usually the same; a hard worker might be effective in the former and kept lower with the latter statement. To me, numbers seem more consistent then any language can be… There will always be a value of 1 or 0, even if they are not written as such, but the achievements of novels and poetry from past, present, and future is bound to be forgotten somehow, involuntarily or so.
